During the Spring Residency at KKT Frankfurt based visual artist Line Krom investigates methods of digitalising dust. During her residency she has collected dust from museums and archives in Copenhagen. She is interested in what happens if dust, which is usually extracted and excluded from museums, could return to the institutions, this time as something precious, like a work of art.
Line Krom has been gathering dust in museums and galleries for several years now. She uses dust to make paintings, objects, performances and installations. Her artistic research on dust has been supported by Goethe Institut (2022), Stiftung Kunstfonds (2022) and Hessische Kulturstiftung (2021).
